                    LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD    Austin, Texas      FISCAL NOTE, 84TH LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION            May 6, 2015      TO: Honorable Abel Herrero, Chair, House Committee on Criminal Jurisprudence      FROM: Ursula Parks, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:HB404 by Sheffield (relating to prohibitions on certain employment and volunteer activity for certain sex offenders; amending provisions subject to a criminal penalty.), Committee Report 1st House, Substituted    No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would stipulate certain prohibitions on certain employment and volunteer activity for sex offenders required to register for life. It is assumed any costs associated with implementing the provisions of this bill could be absorbed within existing resources.  The bill would take effect September 1, 2015. Local Government Impact No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
