A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT
relating to the disclosure of information relating to certain
contributions in certain campaign finance reports.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
SECTION 1. Subchapter B, Chapter 254, Election Code, is
amended by adding Section 254.044 to read as follows:
Sec. 254.044. DISCLOSURE OF CERTAIN INFORMATION NOT
ALLOWED. (a) For purposes of this section, "donor" means a person
who makes a contribution.
(b) Notwithstanding any other law, a person required to
disclose information in a report required by this chapter may not
disclose in the report information regarding a contribution, other
than a political contribution, that a donor specifically requests
that the person not use to make a political contribution or
political expenditure.
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2015.
