The bill would amend Insurance Code to provide insurance coverage on the first day of reemployment for employees who return to their state position upon discharge, separation or release from active military duty. All affected agencies anticipate that any costs associated with implementing the bill could be absorbed within existing resources. The bill would take effect on September 1, 2015. Local Government Impact No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
