                    LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD    Austin, Texas      FISCAL NOTE, 84TH LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION            March 23, 2015      TO: Honorable Susan Lewis King, Chair, House Committee on Defense & Veterans' Affairs      FROM: Ursula Parks, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:HB445 by Raney ( Relating to providing notice of the availability of paid leave for military service to public officers and employees.), Committee Report 1st House, Substituted    No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would amend the Government Code to require written notice be given to officers and employees regarding the availability of paid leave for military service. It is assumed that implementing the provisions of the bill can be absorbed within existing resources. The bill would take effect on September 1, 2015.
