                    LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD    Austin, Texas      FISCAL NOTE, 84TH LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION            May 22, 2015      TO: Honorable Joe Straus, Speaker of the House, House of Representatives      FROM: Ursula Parks, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:HB484 by Capriglione (Relating to the eligibility of a person to be a candidate for or holder of certain public elective offices.), As Passed 2nd House    No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would amend the Election Code and the Government Code requiring certain persons elected to certain public offices to be registered to vote in the jurisdiction from which their office is elected. The Secretary of State indicates the provisions of the bill could be implemented within existing resources. The bill would take effect on September 1, 2015.
