The bill would amend the Government Code to allow former judges who have served as judges on more than two district, statutory probate, statutory county, or appellate courts to be eligible to serve as a visiting judge without having to meet the 96 months of service requirement. Based on the analysis of the Office of Court Administration, duties and responsibilities associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be accomplished by utilizing existing resources.
