 A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
 AN ACT
 relating to the use of the Texas Enterprise Fund for veterans
 hospitals.
 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
 SECTION 1.  Section 481.078, Government Code, is amended by
 amending Subsection (c) and adding Subsection (d-2) to read as
 follows:
 (c)  Except as provided by Subsections (d), [and] (d-1), and
 (d-2), the fund may be used only for economic development,
 infrastructure development, community development, job training
 programs, and business incentives.
 (d-2)  The fund may be used for the establishment,
 maintenance, or operation of veterans hospitals in this state.
 Subsections (e-1), (f), (f-1), (f-2), (g), (h), (h-1), (i), and (j)
 and Section 481.080 do not apply to a grant awarded for a purpose
 specified by this subsection.
 SECTION 2.  Section 481.079(a-1), Government Code, is
 amended to read as follows:
 (a-1)  For grants awarded for a purpose specified by Section
 481.078(d-1) or (d-2), the report must include only the amount and
 purpose of each grant.
 SECTION 3.  This Act takes effect immediately if it receives
 a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as
 provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution.  If this
 Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this
 Act takes effect September 1, 2015.
