                    LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD    Austin, Texas      FISCAL NOTE, 84TH LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION            April 2, 2015      TO: Honorable Jim Murphy, Chair, House Committee on Corrections      FROM: Ursula Parks, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:HB569 by Allen (relating to providing inmates of the Texas Department of Criminal Justice with information regarding reentry and reintegration resources.), Committee Report 1st House, Substituted    No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would amend the Government Code to require the Texas Department of Criminal Justice (TDCJ) to provide TDCJ inmates with certain information regarding reentry and reintegration resources. TDCJ indicates that any costs associated with the bill could be absorbed within the agency's existing resources. The bill would take effect September 1, 2015.
