The bill would amend the Occupations Code to require the Commission on Law Enforcementto establish a statewide training program related to canine encounters and canine behavior. The Commission on Law Enforcement has indicated that implementing the provisions of the bill would result in no significant fiscal impact. The bill would take effect September 1, 2015. Local Government Impact No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
