Smithee, Chair, House Committee on Judiciary & Civil Jurisprudence      FROM: Ursula Parks, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:HB705 by Farrar (Relating to access to a financial institution account of a person who dies intestate.), As Introduced    No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  This bill would amend the Estates Code relating to access to a financial institution account of a person who dies intestate. Based on information provided by the Department of Savings and Mortgage Lending, Department of Banking, Office of Consumer Credit Commissioner, and Office of Court Administration, it is assumed that duties and responsibilities associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be accomplished by utilizing existing resources. Local Government Impact No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
