                    LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD    Austin, Texas      FISCAL NOTE, 84TH LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION            May 14, 2015      TO: Honorable Joe Straus, Speaker of the House, House of Representatives      FROM: Ursula Parks, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:HB923 by Flynn (Relating to the issuance of 36th Infantry Division specialty license plates.), As Passed 2nd House    No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would amend the Transportation Code to require the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) to issue specialty license plates for persons who have served in the 36th Infantry Division of the Texas Army National Guard.There would be no fee for a regular set of the new specialty plates. Based on the information provided by the DMV, it is assumed any costs or duties associated with implementing the bill could be absorbed within the agency's existing resources.
