                    LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD    Austin, Texas      FISCAL NOTE, 84TH LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION            March 16, 2015      TO: Honorable Byron Cook, Chair, House Committee on State Affairs      FROM: Ursula Parks, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:HB972 by Geren (Relating to reporting of expenditures by persons registered as lobbyists.), As Introduced    No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would amend Government Code to set the reporting requirement for lobbying expenditures  at no more than $50 per day. The Ethics Commission anticipates that any costs associated with implementing the bill could be absorbed within existing resources.The bill would take effect September 1, 2015.
