                    LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD    Austin, Texas      FISCAL NOTE, 84TH LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION            March 27, 2015      TO: Honorable Wayne Smith, Chair, House Committee on Licensing & Administrative Procedures      FROM: Ursula Parks, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:HJR73 by Geren (Proposing a constitutional amendment authorizing the legislature to permit professional sports team charitable foundations to conduct charitable raffles.), As Introduced    No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated, other than the cost of publication. The cost to the state for publication of the resolution is $118,681.  The joint resolution would amend the Texas Constitution to authorize professional sports team charitable foundations to conduct charitable raffles under certain conditions.  The proposed constitutional amendment would be submitted to voters at an election to be held November 3, 2015.
