H.R. No. 1327
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Nate Moenning, a senior at Crawford High School, has
signed a letter of intent to play baseball and study at Union
University in Jackson, Tennessee; and
WHEREAS, The son of Jim and Heather Moenning, Nate Moenning
is a standout member of the Crawford baseball team; he is expected
to pitch and play first base for Union University beginning in the
fall of 2015; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Moenning was awarded All-District honors for
his inspired performance on the diamond, and he was named to the
2014 Texas Sports Writers Association 2A All-State Baseball Team as
an honorable mention selection at first base; moreover, he also
distinguished himself on the gridiron as the kicker and punter for
the Crawford Pirates football team, earning a spot on the District
8-2A All-District team; and
WHEREAS, This talented young Texan has pursued his goals with
remarkable drive and an unwavering dedication to excellence, and he
may take great pride in all that he has accomplished as he looks
ahead to a future bright with promise; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Nate Moenning on signing a national
letter of intent to play for the Union University baseball team and
extend to him sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it
further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. Moenning as an expression of high regard by the
Texas House of Representatives.
