No. 1425 R E S O L U T I O N WHEREAS, Connie Woodruff has greatly benefited the youth of her community through her service as a member of the Ysleta Independent School District Board of Trustees; and WHEREAS, Educated in Ysleta ISD schools and a graduate of West Texas State University, Ms. Woodruff was elected in May 2013 as the District 2 trustee; and WHEREAS, Ms. Woodruff has been an educator for 19 years at Immanuel Christian School, where she also served as a department chair; in addition, she has taught Sunday school and vacation Bible school at Tigua Baptist Church and First Baptist Church, and she has been a member of the DARE Committee at North Loop Elementary School; and WHEREAS, Connie Woodruff has demonstrated a steadfast commitment to building a bright and promising future for local children, and in so doing, she has earned the deep respect and appreciation of her fellow Texans; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas Legislature hereby honor Connie Woodruff for her service on the Ysleta ISD Board of Trustees and extend to her sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for Ms. Woodruff as an expression of high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
