 R E S O L U T I O N
 WHEREAS, A full and generous life drew to a close with the
 death of Maria Mabelia Alonzo of Robstown on March 8, 2015, at the
 age of 74; and
 WHEREAS, Born in Hidalgo County on February 8, 1941, to
 Santos and Nieves Morin, Maria Alonzo grew up in a large family in
 Robstown; she married Jacinto Alonzo on June 17, 1957, and they were
 blessed with nine children, Rosie, Janie, Gracie, Idalia, Maria,
 Diane, Jacinto, David, and Rudy; the couple later shared in the joy
 of welcoming 18 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren into their
 family; and
 WHEREAS, Mrs. Alonzo was employed as an Avon representative,
 and she worked in retail as a department manager at Winn's and
 Walmart; she was also an active member of St. Anthony's Catholic
 Church, where she served as a CCD instructor and as president of the
 altar society; and
 WHEREAS, Although Maria Alonzo will be deeply missed,
 cherished memories of time spent in her company will long endure in
 the hearts of her family and friends; now, therefore, be it
 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
 Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Maria Mabelia Alonzo
 and extend deepest sympathy to the members of her family: to her
 husband, Jacinto Alonzo Sr.; to her children, Rosie Tamez and her
 husband, Hector, Janie Luna and her husband, Bobby, Gracie Martinez
 and her husband, Richard, Idalia Alonzo, Maria Alonzo and her
 husband, Eddie Munguia, Diane Alonzo-Limones, Jacinto Alonzo Jr.,
 David Alonzo, and Rudy Alonzo; to her 18 grandchildren and her 29
 great-grandchildren; to her brother, Nieves Morin Jr., and his
 wife, Betty; and to her many other relatives and friends; and, be it
 further
 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 prepared for the family and that when the Texas House of
 Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Maria
 Alonzo.
