H.R. No. 1493 R E S O L U T I O N WHEREAS, Dr. Kathy Jones-Trebatoski of Corpus Christi has deservedly been honored with the 2015 Humanistic Clinician Award from the Association for Humanistic Counseling (AHC); and WHEREAS, This notable organization serves as a forum for the exchange of information about humanistically centered counseling practices and the increasing body of knowledge regarding its benefits on mental health; every year, AHC presents this prestigious accolade to a counselor whose related professional efforts have had a positive impact on the individual's clients or community; and WHEREAS, A licensed professional counselor and supervisor, Dr. Jones-Trebatoski has operated a private practice in the community since 1996; she is also an adjunct professor of counseling and educational psychology at Texas A&M University--Corpus Christi, where she earned a master's degree in 1991 and a doctorate in 2009; and WHEREAS, The dedication and expertise of Dr. Jones-Trebatoski have greatly enhanced the lives of countless area residents, and she is to be commended on the latest achievement in her outstanding career; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas Legislature hereby congratulate Dr. Kathy Jones-Trebatoski on her receipt of the 2015 Humanistic Clinician Award and extend to her sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for Dr. Jones-Trebatoski as an expression of high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
