H.R. No. 1521
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Gerald and Gayle Shinn of Wills Point celebrated
their 50th wedding anniversary on January 29, 2015, and they may
indeed reflect with joy on the rewarding relationship they have
shared; and
WHEREAS, On that memorable day in 1965, Gerald Shinn and the
former Gayle Harrelson exchanged the vows of matrimony in Pickton,
and over the course of their marriage, they have found in each other
a loving life partner; and
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Shinn count among their blessings a
fine family that includes their children, Jerry Shinn and his wife,
Melissa, and Greg Shinn and his wife, Dawn, as well as their
grandchildren, Ben, Bailey, Brooklyn, Andrew, and Matt, with whom
they treasure spending many special occasions; and
WHEREAS, For half a century, Gerald and Gayle Shinn have
brought to their marriage laughter, kindness, and devotion, and it
is a pleasure to honor them for their enduring commitment; now,
therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Gerald and Gayle Shinn on their
50th wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for
continued happiness; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for the couple as an expression of high regard by the Texas
House of Representatives.
