H.R. No. 1659
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Locally owned and operated restaurants hold a
special place in communities across the Lone Star State, and one
such establishment, Mr. G's BBQ, has offered a distinctive and
enjoyable dining experience to residents of Corpus Christi; and
WHEREAS, Founded in July 2011 by Jorge Gonzalez III, Mr. G's
has quickly become a local favorite, with its traditional
Texas-style fare and inviting family atmosphere; today, service at
the restaurant is provided by a staff of 15 employees, including
several members of the Gonzalez clan; and
WHEREAS, Mr. G's BBQ has gained a loyal following over the
years, and it is a pleasure to commend the Gonzalez family on their
contributions to the prosperity and culinary diversity of their
city; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
Legislature hereby recognize Mr. G's BBQ in Corpus Christi and
extend to the Gonzalez family and their employees sincere best
wishes for continued success; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for the restaurant as an expression of high regard by the
Texas House of Representatives.
