 R E S O L U T I O N
 WHEREAS, Civic-minded individuals from across the Lone Star
 State are gathering in Austin on April 23, 2015, to celebrate Texas
 Young Republican Federation and Texas Federation of College
 Republicans Legislative Day at the State Capitol; and
 WHEREAS, The TYRF is a volunteer service organization for
 conservative professionals, activists, and politicians in the
 18-to-40-year-old age range; these dedicated young men and women
 work tirelessly to support local, statewide, and federal candidates
 for elected office; during the last election, members logged tens
 of thousands of hours and traveled across the state and nation to
 campaign for Republican candidates; and
 WHEREAS, The official collegiate arm of the Republican Party
 of Texas, the TFCR comprises more than 30 chapters statewide and
 collaborates with other conservative organizations to educate the
 electorate, promote Republican values, and encourage political
 activism among college students; and
 WHEREAS, Participants in Texas Young Republican Federation
 and Texas Federation of College Republicans Legislative Day are
 meeting with elected officials to discuss issues important to
 younger voters and are sharing their perspectives on a range of
 policy matters, and in so doing, they are endeavoring to build a
 brighter and more prosperous future for the Lone Star State; now,
 therefore, be it
 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
 Legislature hereby recognize April 23, 2015, as Texas Young
 Republican Federation and Texas Federation of College Republicans
 Legislative Day at the State Capitol and extend a warm welcome to
 the members of those organizations who are visiting on this day.
