H.R. No. 1875
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, A 50th wedding anniversary marks a lifetime of
mutual devotion and shared experiences, and Larry and Grace Obr of
Robinson celebrated this joyous milestone in their marriage on
February 6, 2015; and
WHEREAS, Larry Obr and the former Grace Kuchta were joined in
matrimony in 1965 at a ceremony held in Yankton, South Dakota;
through the years, they have been blessed with a treasured family
that includes two children, John and his wife, Bridgette, and Dean
and his wife, Tandy, as well as eight grandchildren; and
WHEREAS, Valued members of the Waco community since 1967, the
couple are now both retired; Mr. Obr worked as a masonry
contractor, and Mrs. Obr was employed as a registered nurse with
the Veterans Affairs Medical Center for 28 years; and
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Obr have enjoyed five decades of
abiding love and affection for each other, and they are among an
exceptional group of men and women who can claim such a lasting
commitment; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Larry and Grace Obr on their golden
wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for
continued happiness; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for the couple as an expression of high regard by the Texas
House of Representatives.
