R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, TexasHSFootball.com draws one of the largest
audiences of high school sports enthusiasts in the Lone Star State,
and its popularity is continuing to grow; and
WHEREAS, Created in 2001, this Buda-based website was
acquired in August 2014 by Sports Marketing Experts, which has
expanded the site's content offerings to include in-depth game-day
reporting and an increased social media presence as well as scores,
statistics, and team standings; and
WHEREAS, With a reach extending far beyond Texas, the website
is a valued source of football coverage for fans across the country,
and it has been featured by such national media outlets as ESPN, Fox
Sports, and USA Today; and
WHEREAS, Each fall, Friday nights in the Lone Star State
become electric as communities gather in stadiums to cheer on their
favorite teams, and TexasHSFootball.com has added immeasurably to
the enjoyment of a cherished tradition; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate TexasHSFootball.com on its success
and extend to all those associated with the website sincere best
wishes for the future; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for TexasHSFootball.com as an expression of high regard by
the Texas House of Representatives.
