H.R. No. 2031
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Aaron Peña, principal of Woodway Elementary School
in Waco, has deservedly been named a regional finalist in the
Principal Award category of the 2015 H-E-B Excellence in Education
Awards, and this achievement indeed merits special recognition; and
WHEREAS, In cooperation with the Texas Association of School
Administrators, the H-E-B Excellence in Education Awards celebrate
public school professionals whose leadership and commitment
inspire a love of learning in students of all backgrounds and
abilities; a fitting candidate for the 2015 Principal Award,
Mr. Peña received a $1,000 prize and a $2,500 grant for his school
for earning regional finalist honors; and
WHEREAS, Those individuals who give generously of their time
and talents strengthen the communities in which they live, and it is
a pleasure to recognize Aaron Peña for his dedicated work as an
administrator and his many contributions to his school; now,
therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Aaron Peña of Woodway Elementary
School on his selection as a regional finalist for the 2015 H-E-B
Excellence in Education Principal Award and extend to him sincere
best wishes for continued success; and, be it further

ESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. Peña as an expression of high regard by the Texas
House of Representatives.
