H.R. No. 2034
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Circle Hardware Supply in Waco is celebrating its
70th anniversary in 2015, and this milestone provides a fitting
occasion to recognize the business for its contributions to the
community; and
WHEREAS, Founded as Circle Lumber on La Salle Avenue in 1945,
this Waco establishment has occupied the same location, just off a
traffic circle, ever since, and it is one of the oldest continuously
operated enterprises in the city; and
WHEREAS, Today Circle Hardware Supply is owned by Larry and
Norma Dagley, who have expanded and renovated the store, carrying
on its seven-decade legacy of outstanding service to its customers;
and
WHEREAS, Locally owned and operated businesses play a vital
role in the prosperity of the Lone Star State, and enterprises such
as Circle Hardware Supply that build a record of dependability and
longevity enjoy a special degree of esteem in their communities;
now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
Legislature hereby commemorate the 70th anniversary year of Circle
Hardware Supply and extend to Larry and Norma Dagley and their staff
sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Circle Hardware as an expression of high regard by the
Texas House of Representatives.
