H.R. No. 2049
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Emily Danford has been named the 2015 Teacher of the
Year at Dobie Pre-Kindergarten Center in the annual recognition
program sponsored by the Austin Independent School District; and
WHEREAS, A solid education is vital for young people to
become successful and productive adults, and those men and women
who dedicate their careers to teaching make a positive difference
in the lives of their students and in the communities in which they
live; and
WHEREAS, The influence of an educator extends far beyond the
walls of the classroom and the duration of the school year, and
Emily Danford has worked to instill in her students a lifelong love
of learning that will serve them well in every aspect of their
lives; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Emily Danford on her selection as
the 2015 Teacher of the Year at Dobie Pre-Kindergarten Center and
extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success with her
important work; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Ms. Danford as an expression of high regard by the
Texas House of Representatives.
