H.R. No. 2066
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Sharing a deep bond of love that has spanned five
decades, Gaylon and Jean Moore of Scroggins celebrated their 50th
wedding anniversary on January 22, 2015; and
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Moore exchanged the vows of matrimony
in a ceremony officiated by the bride's grandfather, the Reverend
George Lester, at First Baptist Church in Pittsburg on that
memorable day in 1965, and over the course of their marriage, they
have found in each other a devoted life partner; and
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Moore count among their blessings a
fine family that includes their son, Jeffrey, as well as their
daughter-in-law, Kristine, and their grandson, Joshua, with whom
they treasure spending many special occasions; and
WHEREAS, Looking back over the past 50 years, Gaylon and Jean
Moore can savor a wealth of cherished family memories and know that
the strength of their love and commitment ensures that many more
joyful times await them; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Gaylon and Jean Moore on their 50th
wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for
continued happiness; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for the couple as an expression of high regard by the Texas
House of Representatives.
