 R E S O L U T I O N
 WHEREAS, Officer Bill Oakman has rendered outstanding
 service to his fellow North Texas residents during his 25-year
 career with the Arlington Police Department; and
 WHEREAS, The well-being of a community depends on the skill
 and courage of its police personnel, as well as on their steadfast
 commitment to serve and protect; and
 WHEREAS, A respected public servant, Officer Oakman can take
 justifiable pride in the contributions he has made in safeguarding
 the lives and property of local citizens; and
 WHEREAS, Throughout his distinguished tenure, Officer Oakman
 has exemplified the highest ideals of the law enforcement
 profession, and he is indeed deserving of recognition for a job well
 done; now, therefore, be it
 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
 Legislature hereby honor Officer Bill Oakman for his 25 years of
 service with the Arlington Police Department and extend to him
 sincere best wishes for continued success in his vital work; and, be
 it further
 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 prepared for Officer Oakman as an expression of high regard by the
 Texas House of Representatives.
