R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, John Schmitz of Select Energy Services was named the
Industry Leader of the Year at the 2014 Oil and Gas Awards gala in
Dallas; and
WHEREAS, The annual Oil and Gas Awards recognize individuals
and organizations that have made significant contributions to the
industry; a truly worthy recipient, Mr. Schmitz serves as CEO of
Select Energy Services, a company that has thrived under his
direction; and
WHEREAS, This notable Texan has further distinguished
himself through his work in the community; he has shared his time
and talents with a number of worthwhile efforts, including the Boys &
Girls Club of Texas and Camp Sweeney, an initiative benefiting
young people with diabetes; and
WHEREAS, John Schmitz has forged an outstanding career while
also striving to create opportunities for area children, and his
efforts have won him the lasting respect and admiration of all who
are privileged to know him; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate John Schmitz on earning the title
of Industry Leader of the Year at the 2014 Oil and Gas Awards and
commend him for his efforts in behalf of his fellow residents; and,
be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. Schmitz as an expression of high regard by the
Texas House of Representatives.
