R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Former Goodrich High School girls' basketball coach
Pinellafie Gilford Johnson has been deservedly honored with the
Milestone Coaching Award, and this achievement indeed merits
special recognition; and
WHEREAS, Over the course of her 31 years in coaching, Coach
Johnson has amassed more than 500 wins, 406 of which came during her
tenure of two decades at Goodrich, where she took the helm after
beginning her career at Anderson-Shiro High School; today, she
serves as head coach of the girls' basketball squad at Huntsville
High School; and
WHEREAS, The Milestone Coaching Award provides fitting
acknowledgement of the talent, hard work, and commitment to
excellence demonstrated by this exemplary coach, and she may indeed
take justifiable pride in her accomplishments; now, therefore, be
it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Pinellafie Gilford Johnson on
receiving the Milestone Coaching Award and extend to her sincere
best wishes for continued success; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Coach Johnson as an expression of high regard by the
Texas House of Representatives.
