No. 233 R E S O L U T I O N WHEREAS, On January 26, 2015, Blake Cretsinger of the Arlington Fire Department sustained second-degree burns while fighting a fire, and the exceptional valor he demonstrated in the line of duty is greatly appreciated by his fellow citizens; and WHEREAS, All Texans owe an immeasurable debt of gratitude to the firefighters who daily protect our lives, families, and property; in the course of their duties, these brave first responders routinely face danger and battle blazes with a steadfast resolve to serve the greater good despite the risk that responsibility carries with it; and WHEREAS, Blake Cretsinger's willingness to undertake the challenging and hazardous work of safeguarding others defines the meaning of heroism, and it is indeed fitting that he be recognized for his sacrifice and dedication; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas Legislature hereby honor Blake Cretsinger for his exemplary service with the Arlington Fire Department and extend to him sincere best wishes for a speedy recovery; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for Mr. Cretsinger as an expression of high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
