R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Kreston O'Dell-Richardson of Buna High School
received well-deserved recognition when he was named to the 2015
Super Gold Basketball First Team by the Beaumont Enterprise; and
WHEREAS, A senior guard, Mr. O'Dell-Richardson's outstanding
play helped the Cougars earn a top five state ranking, claim a share
of the District 23-3A championship, and advance to the area round of
the University Interscholastic League playoffs; and
WHEREAS, Displaying an impressive all-around game, this
talented young Texan averaged 20.7 points, 7.1 rebounds, 4.2
assists, 3.3 steals, and 1 block per contest; for his performance,
he was selected as the district's Offensive MVP and earned a spot on
the Texas Association of Basketball Coaches All-State and
All-Region squads; and
WHEREAS, Kreston O'Dell-Richardson's hard work and
commitment to excellence have been rewarded with this prestigious
accolade, and he may take justifiable pride in his accomplishments;
now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Kreston O'Dell-Richardson on being
named to the 2015 Super Gold Basketball First Team by the Beaumont
Enterprise and extend to him sincere best wishes for continued
success; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. O'Dell-Richardson as an expression of high regard
by the Texas House of Representatives.
