R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Captain Game Warden Patrick Canan is among the Texas
Parks and Wildlife Department officers from House District 68 who
have rendered outstanding service at the Texas-Mexico border; and
WHEREAS, Through his dedicated contributions to Operation
Strong Safety, Captain Game Warden Canan has helped to maintain
border security in the Rio Grande Valley and to reduce crime in the
region; and
WHEREAS, Leaving his family and community behind for extended
periods of time to fulfill his duties in this vital mission, Captain
Game Warden Canan has willingly placed himself in harm's way to
safeguard the lives and property of his fellow citizens, and he is
truly deserving of our gratitude and praise; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
Legislature hereby commend Captain Game Warden Patrick Canan of the
Texas Parks and Wildlife Department for his valorous efforts at the
Texas-Mexico border as part of Operation Strong Safety and extend
to him sincere appreciation for his admirable public service; and,
be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Captain Game Warden Canan as an expression of high
regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
