R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, The members of the Jasper High School girls' track
team distinguished themselves with their performance at the
District 19-4A and 20-4A area track and field meet on April 22-23,
2015; and
WHEREAS, The Lady Bulldogs tallied a total of 42 points to
finish in fifth place overall; the team was led by Kia Moran, who
took home third place in the long jump event, and Krystal Kraus, who
claimed third place honors in the pole vault; and
WHEREAS, Also competing for the Lady Bulldogs at the event
were Stevilyn Gray, Alexa Payton, Raven Bronson, Sakina Whitley,
Mercedes McCray, and Sequina Brown; and
WHEREAS, With their efforts in area competition, the members
of the Jasper High School girls' track and field team proudly
represented their school, and the dedication these students have
demonstrated is sure to serve them well in the years ahead; now,
therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
Legislature hereby recognize the Jasper High School girls' track
team on its performance at the District 19-4A and 20-4A area track
and field meet and extend to its members sincere best wishes for
continued success; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for the team as an expression of high regard by the Texas
House of Representatives.
