H.R. No. 2684
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, A 65th wedding anniversary marks a lifetime of
mutual devotion and shared experiences, and Herchel and Ora Lee
Gamble of Lorena celebrated this joyous milestone in their marriage
on March 4, 2015; and
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Gamble were joined in matrimony on that
memorable day in 1950; through the years, they became the parents of
three children, Lucky, John, and the late Janet, and today, they are
blessed with five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; and
WHEREAS, Respected members of their community, Mr. Gamble is
retired from HD Gamble and Son, Inc., and Mrs. Gamble has devoted
herself to her home and family throughout their marriage; they have
also been active in the Golinda Baptist Church; and
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Gamble have enjoyed six and a half
decades of abiding love and affection for each other, and they are
among an exceptional group of men and women who can claim such a
lasting commitment; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Herchel and Ora Lee Gamble on their
65th wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for
continued happiness; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for the couple as an expression of high regard by the Texas
House of Representatives.
