                    LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD    Austin, Texas      FISCAL NOTE, 84TH LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION            April 13, 2015      TO: Honorable Troy Fraser, Chair, Senate Committee on Natural Resources & Economic Development      FROM: Ursula Parks, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:SB1122 by Estes (Relating to a limitation on the authority to curtail groundwater production from wells used for power generation or mining.), As Introduced    No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would amend the Water Code relating to a limitation on the authority to curtail groundwater production from wells used for power generation or mining. The bill would provide that districts not curtail production in amounts less than certain maximum rates, as defined. The Railroad Commission anticipates any additional work resulting from the passage of the bill could be reasonably absorbed within current resources.
