                    LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD    Austin, Texas      FISCAL NOTE, 84TH LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION            March 26, 2015      TO: Honorable Donna Campbell, Chair, Senate Committee on Veteran Affairs & Military Installations      FROM: Ursula Parks, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:SB1253 by Hall (Relating to a ribbon for certain members of the military forces who served in support of operations to secure the Texas border.), As Introduced    No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would amend the Government Code to allow the governor or adjutant general, if given the authority, to adopt policies and regulations related to awarding a Texas Border Security and Support Service Ribbon to Texas military forces who meet certain criteria as it relates to service in support of Texas border security. This analysis assumes that implementation of provisions of the bill could be absorbed within Texas Military Department resources. The bill would take effect September 1, 2015.
