                    LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD    Austin, Texas      FISCAL NOTE, 84TH LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION            May 28, 2015      TO: Honorable Dan Patrick, Lieutenant Governor, Senate      FROM: Ursula Parks, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:SB142 by Garcia (Relating to the appointment and training of volunteer deputy registrars.), As Passed 2nd House    No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would amend the Election Code to require the Secretary of State to post certain materials related to the training of Deputy Voter Registrars to the website. The Secretary of State indicates that any costs associated with the bill could be absorbed within the agency's existing resources. The bill would take effect immediately upon receiving a two-thirds majority vote in each house.  Otherwise, the bill would take effect September 1, 2015.
