The bill would amend the Transportation Code to prohibit a junkyard or an automotive wrecking and salvage yard to be located within 50 feet of the nearest property line of a residence. Local Government Impact There could be an increase in fine revenue to municipalities due to the provisions of the bill. No significant fiscal impact is anticipated.
