The bill would amend Election Code to require the Ethics Commission to develop software to be used by local filers of campaign finance reports and personal financial statements, when filing reports with local authorities. The Ethics Commission indicates that additional software programming costs could be absorbed within existing agency resources. The bill would take effect September 1, 2015. Local Government Impact There may be administrative costs to units of local government; however, the fiscal impact is not anticipated to be significant.
