The bill amends the definition of medical schools for the Family Practice Residency Program and Resident Physician Expansion Grant Program to include the medical school at The University of Texas at Austin, the medical school at The University of Texas at Rio Grande Valley and the medical education program at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Tyler. This analysis assumes that any costs for the Higher Education Coordinating Board to implement the provisions of the bill could be absorbed within current resources.
