                    LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD    Austin, Texas      FISCAL NOTE, 84TH LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION            March 15, 2015      TO: Honorable John Whitmire, Chair, Senate Committee on Criminal Justice      FROM: Ursula Parks, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:SB147 by Rodríguez (Relating to the violation of certain court orders or conditions of bond in a family violence, sexual assault or abuse, stalking, or trafficking case.), As Introduced    No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would amend the Penal Code to include trafficking as one of the cases in which the violation of bond conditions or court orders qualifies as a criminal offense.  The bill would add trafficking as one of the types of cases in which the bureau of identification and records is required to collect information on bond conditions and protective orders. The Office of Court Administration indicates that bill provisions would not have a significant fiscal implication to the court system. Based on the analysis of the Department of Public Safety, duties and responsibilities associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be accomplished by utilizing existing resources. Local Government Impact No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
