The bill would designate May as Postpartum Depression Awareness month in the state and require observance through programs and activities to increase awareness of postpartum depression. The Department of State Health Services and the Health and Human Services Commission indicate that implementation of the provisions of the bill could be absorbed within current resources. Local Government Impact No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
