                    LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD    Austin, Texas      FISCAL NOTE, 84TH LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION            March 31, 2015      TO: Honorable Joan Huffman, Chair, Senate Committee on State Affairs      FROM: Ursula Parks, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:SB291 by Nelson (Relating to the jurisdiction of a county court at law in Tarrant County.), Committee Report 1st House, Substituted    No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would amend the Government Code to expand the jurisdiction of certain courts in Tarrant County to include appeals from a municipal court of record in the county that is not an appeal of a criminal case or proceeding.The Office of Court Administration reported no significant impact to the state court is anticipated. Local Government Impact Because the bill would not have statewide impact on units of local government of the same type or class, no comment from this office is required by the rules of the House/Senate as to its probable fiscal implication on units of local government.
