The bill would amend the Education Code to specify peace officers at private institutions have all the powers, privileges and immunities of peace officers while performing duties in certain circumstances. The bill would amend the Education Code to specify law enforcement activities of campus police departments of private institutions of higher education are applicable to public information laws under Chapter 552, Government Code.
