The bill would amend the Health and Safety Code to require freestanding emergency medical care facilities to post a notice in certain areas of the facility and on the facility's website that provides certain information to customers. The bill would treat freestanding emergency medical care facilities in the same manner as other facilities relating to consumer access to health care information. The Health and Human Services Commission and the Department of State Health Services anticipate that costs associated with implementation of the bill could be reasonably absorbed within current resources. Local Government Impact No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
