                    LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD    Austin, Texas      FISCAL NOTE, 84TH LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION            February 27, 2015      TO: Honorable Eddie Lucio Jr., Chair, Senate Committee on Intergovernmental Relations      FROM: Ursula Parks, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:SB435 by Lucio (Relating to the powers and duties of a county treasurer.), As Introduced    No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would amend the Local Government Code and the Government Code to require a county treasurer to take an oath and complete an introductory course after being elected or appointed to office. The bill would also mandate county treasurers the duty of determining the manner in which electronic payments are made.  Local Government Impact According to the Texas Association of Counties (TAC), the fiscal impact to counties to implement the provisions of the bill is not anticipated to be significant.
