                    LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD    Austin, Texas      FISCAL NOTE, 84TH LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION            March 3, 2015      TO: Honorable Robert Nichols, Chair, Senate Committee on Transportation      FROM: Ursula Parks, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:SB562 by Nichols (Relating to annual permits to move certain equipment; authorizing a fee.), As Introduced    No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would amend the Transportation Code to authorize the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) to issue an annual permit that allows a person to operate a vehicle or a combination of vehicles over a state highway with a maximum length of 110 feet and a maximum height of 14 feet. The bill would establish a fee of $960 for the annual permit.Based on the information provided by the DMV and the Comptroller's Office, it is assumed implementation of the bill would not result in a significant fiscal impact to the state. Local Government Impact No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
