                    LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD    Austin, Texas      FISCAL NOTE, 84TH LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION            May 29, 2015      TO: Honorable Dan Patrick, Lieutenant Governor, Senate  Honorable Joe Straus, Speaker of the House, House of Representatives      FROM: Ursula Parks, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:SB652 by Schwertner (Relating to excluding a franchisor as an employer of a franchisee or a franchisee's employees.), Conference Committee Report    No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  This bill would amend the Labor Code relating to excluding a franchisor as an employer of a franchisee or a franchisee's employees. Based on information provided by the Texas Workforce Commission and the Texas Department of Insurance, it is assumed that duties and responsibilities associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be accomplished by utilizing existing resources. Local Government Impact No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
