The bill would amend the Health and Safety Code to indicate that certain medical test results would be subject to certain subpoenas in a criminal proceeding, and the court in which the test result is to be disclosed would be required to issue a protective order. The Department of State Health Services and the Office of Court Administration indicate that any costs associated with implementation of the bill could be absorbed within current resources. Local Government Impact No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
