                    LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD    Austin, Texas      FISCAL NOTE, 84TH LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION            May 13, 2015      TO: Honorable Dan Patrick, Lieutenant Governor, Senate      FROM: Ursula Parks, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:SB805 by Campbell (Relating to the employment of individuals qualified for a veteran's employment preference.), As Passed 2nd House    No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  This bill would amend the Government Code regarding veteran's employment preferences. Among its provisions, the bill would specify which individuals are eligible for the veteran's employment preference and which state agencies must offer the veteran's employment preference. The bill would also provide private employers with the right to offer a veteran's employment preference.It is assumed that any additional costs associated with the implementation of the bill could be absorbed within existing state resources. Local Government Impact No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
